For You (Intro): For You was my first choice to open up the album because I felt it had all the elements to my music jumbled up into one short perfect jam. I had originally made it to use for a short film or video of some sort but ended up really liking it for Imagination Projects.

Storys: When I wrote this song I think I was just in this weird place and mood at the time about a past relationship, and it was also written during fall which is the season I always end up writing more melancholic lyrics I suppose.

Cntrl Alt Del: This song is kind of my way of just putting it out there, that at the time I wrote it I was kind of in a whatever mood and was ready for some kind of summer romance. I guess my way of saying I’m ready for something different. This was actually one of the first songs I had written when I decided I was going to put this album together and have a solid collection of songs that all revolve around the same subject in most of my writing… Girls.

Hearts Beating: Hearts Beating was actually my short story about a thing I had going on with someone in my past and how it was all perfect and then all of a sudden it just failed completely on both of us. Better luck next time… ha! I do love the way the music came out in this song, I was just really into an ambient/chill mood when i composed this.

My Love: This was just a fun song that I really thought would lift the mood on this album this early on to get the listener ready for more upbeat songs coming up. I also really love to play around with samples that I cut up and then replay every syllable to a new word or line. It was also fun tracking the vocals on this one and messing around with my voice, stretching words and what not. I also had a lot of 80′s disco/new wave influence on this track.

Move Your Feet: With out a doubt this has probably been my favorite song I’ve recorded to date. I had found this old jazz record one day at a flea market and decided to buy it just in case I could find some stuff to sample. I took it home and found this awesome song that had a full on verse that I ended up chopping up and re-wording into making her sound like she says Move Your Feet. I decided to just add some compression tricks to my vocals that I layed on top of the beat and it created a really atmospheric sound to the whole mix. It’s also really fun to sing this falsetto at live shows.

T33n Dayze: T33n Dayze came about in a funny way. It probably took me a solid 3 months to finish that song, I would constantly be changing things in it until one day I was finally completely pleased with the vibe it gave when you listen to it. I feel like it has a dark, deep sound while still being completely upbeat and able to party to. It was definitely my summer summed up in a little over three minutes.

Side by Side: This song was totally my feel good song of the album. It just had such a poppy fun sound that everything I wrote to it reminded me of great nights out in the city with my friends, exploring bars and meeting people.

Late Night Romance: To sum up what I was feeling when I wrote this you would truely have to just experience San Francisco with me. The San Francisco bay area has the biggest influence on everything I ever create. I just love it, and this is basically just how my summer nights go.

Stephanie (Interlude): The Science Of Sleep is a film that I tend to watch a lot because I always notice or realize something new when I watch it and I just love how the scene plays out when Stéphane and Stéphanie get into that fight about how he wants to date her but she only wants to be friends and it tears him apart. I’m sure we’ve all been there so I wanted to share that in this album.

Gone: Gone was meant as the chaotic stressfulness that I think Stéphane must have felt after she tells him that she wants to keep him in the friend zone.

Want You: This goes well with the afterlude because it’s my take on how you can want someone but it can’t happen so it just feels like a constant struggle.

Bright Lights: Basically drinking in the night, out with friends getting into trouble.

Take It All Off: This ismy ode to everything I love… Everything that inspires my imagination and creations.
